Kiosse Family {Montana Portrait Photographer}

Ok so I’ve been a little MIA…ok A LOT MIA!  It’s that crazy time of year where I’m constantly running at 100 mph, and I still can’t keep up with everything that’s going on.  I promise I have LOTS of great stuff coming from weddings, engagements, family sessions, seniors, doggies, you name it!  So please hang in there a bit longer, and I will fill you in on all the things that have been going on in my crazy life.  For now, I want to share some photos from a family session I did back in June (like I said…I’m playing catch up).  Meet the Kiosse family.  They are very near and dear to my heart.  I’m going to geek out for a minute, and admit that I was Ashley’s MSU Orientation leader.  Yes, I was one of those super MSU students that was really involved and welcomed students with a big smile, lots of energy (weird I know), and walking backwards around campus giving them tours.  HAHA!  Ashley and I hit it off right away, and once school started we began hanging out.  I guess I took her, along with a group of my other orientation students, under my wing and showed them the ropes of freshman life.  We became great friends, made lots of amazing college memories together, and the rest is history.  Then, a little over a year ago, Ashley’s world was turned upside down when she found out her Dad had brain cancer.  It rocked all of our worlds, but her Dad is a fighter, and with lots of prayers, love, and support, along with the help of a clinical study at Duke University, he has now been cancer free for 13 months.  So when Ashley told me her nephews were going to be in town, along with her parents, for Father’s Day, I knew we had to do pictures.  Actually it was really Ashley’s idea.  She said that her Mom and Dad haven’t had their picture taken together since their wedding day, and then we both laughed out loud, and agreed it was time for some updated pictures.  So off we went to a relatives house, and snapped some shots.  I’m so happy that I had the opportunity to capture this family in action, and the happiness, joy, and love they have for one another.  I think we all take life for granted, but sometimes we need to stop and appreciate life and all it has to offer.  We never know what tomorrow holds, so live each day to the fullest.  I know these guys appreciate every second they have with each other, and I love the connection they share.  I know they will cherish these pictures forever.  Love you guys!

Rich & Michelle : MARRIED! {Boise, Idaho Wedding Photographer}

I’m so lucky to be able to capture one of the happiest day of a couple’s life…especially when I’ve know them forever.  I absolutely adore these two!  I’ve known Rich since my freshman year in college, and he was also my husbands roommate.  When he moved down to Boise after graduation, and met Michelle, I knew they were meant to be.  I was so giddy when they asked me to come to Boise and be their photographer.  I wouldn’t have missed it for the world!  The day was perfect, and full of love, support, and emotion.  I even lost it during the dances, and was bawling my eyes out behind my camera.  I’m just so happy to see these two together, and I was overwhelmed by the love they have for each other.  Love you guys! Here are a few of my favorites from the day:

There were so many family and friends that helped to make this day special!  I especially loved all the vibrant colors and decorations!

Jamie & Nick : Meant For Each Other {Helena, MT Engagement Photographer}

One of the best things about my ‘job’, is that I get to capture my family.  I have talked a lot about my husband’s family in past posts, and how wonderful they all are, and this post is no exception.  Jamie is my sister-in-law, and I love her dearly.  She is an AMAZING mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend.  I was overjoyed when she told me that her and Nick were going to get married.  They have known each other since they were little, but grew up to go on separate paths.  Then with a little help from God, and a splash of fate, they are together again.  I know they are truly meant for each other, and I can’t wait to see what journeys lie ahead for these two lovebirds!  CONGRATS again you two, and welcome to the family Nick!  We did a small engagement/wedding session, and here are some of my favs from the evening:)
